Black squirrel
The black squirrel, also known as the melanistic squirrel, is a rare variation of the eastern gray squirrel. Unlike their more common gray counterparts, black squirrels have fur that is entirely black. They are native to certain regions in North America, particularly in the eastern part of the continent. Black squirrels can be found in urban areas as well as woodland settings, and their presence adds a touch of uniqueness to their surroundings. While their color may make them stand out, black squirrels exhibit the same behaviors and characteristics as other squirrels.
