Nile crocodiles are well-adapted to a variety of aquatic habitats, including rivers, lakes, swamps, and estuaries. They are apex predators, feeding on a variety of prey, including fish, birds, mammals, and other reptiles. Despite their wide distribution, Nile crocodiles face threats from habitat loss, pollution, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict. Conservation efforts are underway in many countries to protect their populations and habitats.
